Concours, Rallies & Exhibitions

Concours, Rally and Exhibition Transport

A car going to Pebble Beach from Munich, or to Goodwood from Connecticut, needs two moves planned as one: there in time for judging, home after the last award. Both legs are planned and booked together, by ocean or air.

  • A condition report at every change of custodyPhotographed at collection, at loading and on delivery.
  • One specialist, start to finishThe person you speak to at booking stays with the car until it is delivered.
  • No condition report, no loadingA car is not loaded until its condition report is signed.

How an event shipment works

Planned back from the event date, with the return booked before the car leaves.

  1. 01Work back from the dateA latest-ship date set from the event's arrival deadline, with room for customs at the destination.
  2. 02Ocean or airOcean when the calendar allows it, air when there's a deadline to hit.
  3. 03Temporary importA car shown abroad for a few weeks often pays no import duty. Your specialist arranges the temporary import with our agents and the destination's customs broker.
  4. 04Delivery to the eventTo the venue, the hotel or a local storage partner, depending on what the organizer allows.
  5. 05The return legBooked together with the outbound move, so the car isn't left waiting after the show.

Ocean or air for an event

Ocean suits shows booked months ahead and several cars from one collection. Air suits late entries and tight turnarounds between two events. Both legs are booked together either way.

Shared container

Your car travels with up to three others, each secured independently with soft straps and wheel nets. Most classics heading to a major port travel this way.

Running or not

Exclusive-use container

A 20ft or 40ft container for your cars alone, loaded and sealed by our team. For high-value cars, several cars from one collection, or a car travelling with its parts.

Up to four cars, yours only

Air freight

On a cargo flight when there's a concours, rally or sale date to hit. Your specialist completes the documents before the car reaches the airport, so the time saved in the air is not lost on the ground.

Loans and collections

Museums, private collections and event organizers often move cars as a group. An exclusive-use container keeps up to four cars together, under one condition record, from our warehouse to the venue and back.

“All I had to do was fill out their shipping form. They did everything else except pay for the car!”

John Bell · 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona, California to England

“Excellent communication and genuine interest in our vehicles’ well-being throughout the whole process.”

Questions from collectors

How early should I book?

For ocean, as soon as the entry is confirmed. Your specialist gives you a latest-ship date for your route.

Do I pay import duty to show a car abroad for a few weeks?

Usually not, if the car is temporarily imported and leaves within the allowed period. The rules depend on the country, so your specialist checks them for your event.

Can you ship several cars from one collection to the same event?

Yes. A dedicated container takes up to four cars, and they stay together from our warehouse to the event.

Can the car go straight from one event to the next?

Often, yes. Tell your specialist both dates when you book and we plan the route between them.

Showing a car this season?

Tell us the event and the date. Your specialist will plan both legs and prepare a quotation in writing.

It’s your dream car. Let’s bring her home.
